Congratulations to distinguished veterinary neurologist and Cavalier Matters’ patron Professor Clare Rusbridge on being awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s Birthday Honours list.
Clare received the award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to veterinary neurology and animal welfare. Clare has advanced the understanding and treatment of painful neurological conditions such as Chiari-like Malformation (CM). Of her award Clare said:
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. Improving the neurological health and welfare of companion animals has been my life’s work, whether through clinical care, research, education, or advocacy”.
Clare also sent a personal message to supporters and owners of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who have supported her work over the decades, including those taking part in The Cavalier Tissue Collection Scheme which Cavalier Matters played a large part in.
We are very proud and honoured to have Clare as patron of our charity.
