Just found this website via Facebook. As the owner of a 4 year old King Charles Cavalier that began life in a puppy mill (she was a gift), I have found the information on your site invaluable in keeping our sweetheart healthy.

We have a beautiful tri Cavi called Ozzie. We got him at 9weeks and he's now 5 months. I really researched which family dog would be good for us as my son was quite scared of dogs. In just a few months my son has had a complete transformation! I can't imagine life without Ozzie now, a treasured member of our family.

We adopted two gorgeous Cavalier girls in the summer, they are now both 5 years old, although not related. Both have had some serious health scares - Poppy has recently recovered from Spinal surgery and Blossom has a heart murmur. Your website is extremely informative and written in plain English, which is really helpful to me as a 1st time Cavalier owner. Many thanks. Belinda

Tania does a fantastic job trying to help and educate cavalier owners on health issues. She goes above and beyond in her busy life to help, comfort, offer advice and educate all who need or want it. I myself have a chihuahua with SM/CM so know the anguish and heartache watching a dog go through this cruel disease. So it's comforting to know there are people in the world like Tania who give up so much of their time to help others. Well done Tania, you are a fine woman.

I have two gorgeous Cavalier boys - Ludo, who is a Blenheim and is 6 years old, and Merlin, who is a Tri and is 9 months. Both are an absolute delight and (so far so good!) despite Ludo's corneal dystrophy they both seem healthy. They certainly have a good appetite, especially for non-dog food! I absolutely love this site, and thank you for all the information you place here. It is such a valuable resource. As one of the other guests commented, I would have a house full of Cavaliers if I could afford to, but until then I will cherish my boys and spoil them (and me) with amazing items from your gift shop :!inlove:

We have a king charles spaniel who has just turned two in may. Having recently been to the vets a lot we are pretty sure she is showing signs of syringomyelia as she has started wheeling her back leg a lot and you can barely touch her head and neck without discomfort. Heartbroken that someone would breed knowing that the puppies could have SM :!cry:
Lovely site tho, really useful and will definitely be donating money towards having dogs scanned for SM.

We have Jester, our second Cav. Bought from previous owners, but obviously been ill-treated. Our first boy, Toby, died from mitral heart problems at about 12 and we had him at 8 years old. He was just being offered round for a new home. These little dogs are the best out there and I would have dozens if I could afford it!
Thank you for a fabulous site, full of important info for Cav owners.

I have a 4 year old Cavalier (Maisie). She has not been having a very good year, as unfortunately in April she was diagnosed with CM/SM, Dermatitis and dry eye :!cry:
Her problems just seem to continue, as recently I have noticed staining on the bedding, which looks like very pale blood stains. Maisie has an ultrasound this year to check for kidney stones or urine problems, but it all came back clear. I also had her * * * glands emptied, just to be sure the stains weren't anything to do with that. She has had this staining a few times now, it started last year and seems to come and go. Has anyone else ever experienced this with their dog, or know what it might be?

I have a 5.5 month old Ruby Cavalier named Maile. She is a delightful
Companion to my 2.5 year old Yellow lab, Kea. This is my first small
Dog. No problems so far. Would appreciate advice on which food, kibble, to feed? She and Kea are both on Nature's Logic. Origen
and Acana are suppose to be the "best" brands. Any advice welcome!
